Enrique Peña Nieto: An Upcoming Mexican Legend?
Enrique Peña Nieto is adored for his movie star looks, earning him the nickname of “a male Barbie” or the “Beckham of the PRI party”. Most believe that Nieto is going to win the approaching polls. The other candidates have good reason to worry about Nieto.
For all that the official campaign season has not been opened, the man's popularity is already on an upward road. He is an expert in the theater of politics and creates a tremendous impact on his audience when he speaks before his constituents. Nieto also happens to be an extremely charismatic person, with an innate magnetism.
Televisa is often named as a conspirator in Nieto's seemingly unassailable popularity. The allegation is that money changed hands with the result that the TV network agreed to do Nieto's campaign advertising for him. The television company allegedly depicts a positive political and presidential image for Peña Nieto.
Notably enough, these claims came out after Nieto and Angelica Rivera confessed to their relationship. The woman happens to be a superstar of Mexican TV. Nieto eventually married Rivera, some time after his previous wife passed away.
From his first marriage, Nieto has three children. Pretelini's death was caused by cardiovascular issues during Nieto's governorship. After this, the famed governor became Mexico's most eligible bachelor, attracting television cameras and women wherever he went.
Nieto's fame with the females is merely a small contributor to his growing reputation. The man's popularity is also partly attributable to his work in finding out what voters require and his efforts in filling those requirements. He is known for having prioritized public works and related projects.
Many of the public work projects from the politician, upon completion, became press field days as Nieto did his best to promote his accomplishments, like any good politician. Peña Nieto has successfully created an image of a man who gets things done, and one who works at keeping his promises to his people. Nonetheless, some claim that Nieto has spent more on organizing the social events promoting his achievements than on keeping the promises themselves.
An incident at a book fair not too long ago also drew critiques for the politician. Nieto was unable to state the titles and writers of tomes that he claimed were the ones he liked best. Nieto's reason was that he preferred to expend more time remembering the body of the book instead of what was on its cover.
His mistakes unleashed humorous, sometimes harsh, remarks on social networks such as Facebook and Twitter. The issue was further ignited when his eldest daughter, Paulina, labeled her father's critics as a bunch of morons who only criticize him because they envy his position. Despite Nieto's attempt to admit to his own errors and to that of his child in her "undiplomatic" retort, the detractors have not paused in their criticism of him.
Enrique Peña Nieto has noted that his opponents tend to take his words out of context. That having been said, Nieto's bid for the presidential seat is still strong. Surveys and polls are indicating that he may well be the next Mexican president.
